This Spicy Turkey Chilli is a hearty, flavour-packed dish that’s both nutritious and satisfying. Made with lean turkey, kidney beans, and a blend of bold spices, it’s a delicious, low-fat twist on a classic comfort meal. Perfect for meal prep or a cosy night in!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until soft and fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Add ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, chilli powder, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Lower heat and let the chilli simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow the flavours to blend.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  • Enjoy this warm, comforting, and protein-packed meal with a side of whole grain rice or on its own!
